The purpose of today's blog is to share some insider facts about futons. We think this information will be helpful. Big picture:
Futons are mattresses made up of some type of fluffy material. They can be very comfortable and often have a slip on cover added to help you decorate.
Futon sizes:
Futons come in different sizes just like beds. The sizes are Twin (one person), Full (one or more person), Queen One or more person, and King (one or more person). For King futons you need to purchase a platform bed instead of a futon frame. Don't use a box spring with a futon.
Frames:
Frames are most often designed to allow your futon to fold into a couch or sofa position. This is almost always more comfortable then a pull out couch sleeper and helps with dual purpose rooms. Some people buy frames and leave them in a bed position so they are not sleeping close to the floor. Futon mattress composition:
Futons are stuffed with various materials and their composition can make a big difference in the quality of your sleep and comfort. What started out as a simple cotton pad has progressed to include cotton, wool, foam layers, memory foam, and inner springs. Think this part through carefully before buying to make sure you get the best futon that will be in your price range and offer you the most comfort so you can wake up with a smile. Futon covers:
Futon covers go over futons in a way that is similar to a large pillow case. Futons come with a plain cover already but adding a custom cover allows you a way to better clean your cover and decorate.
